The Emir of Daura, Alhaji Faruk Umar Faruk, has blessed Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party when the latter visited Daura Emirate.
The PDP presidential candidate who was in Daura, hometown of President Muhammadu Buhari in Katsina state commiserated with the Emir following recent bandits’ attacks on the people of the emirate, and sought the support and endorsement of the royal father.
The Emir thanked him for being thoughtful enough to visit the emirate. The PDP presidential candidate stated some of his plans for the State.
Atiku spoke of his plans to use education to ameliorate the Almajiri crisis besieging the state and the emirate, which had over time, become a menace.
The Emir who was overwhelmed with joy at his visit, blessed Atiku and endorsed him as the next president of Nigeria.
A crowd of people flooded the streets to welcome the presidential hopeful. At the Muhammad Diko Stadium in the state, the sea of heads were massive as everyone went wild in jubilation over the visit of Atiku Abubakar, Buhari's strongest rival in the 2019 presidential race.
